R. Benjamin Nelson is a former litigation associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP and federal judicial law clerk who has represented corporations and individuals as plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state trial and appellate courts in California. Ben is a versatile litigator, regularly practicing in the areas of complex commercial litigation, commercial real estate, labor and employment, personal injury and elder abuse, class actions, and patent litigation.
Ben's practice now focuses on winning appeals and complex motions for individuals and smaller businesses. Other trial and appellate counsel frequently engage Ben to assist them when they face critical appeals and motions or need to prepare for trial.
Ben has tried three cases to verdict in federal court, and his experience includes drafting and arguing case dispositive motions, developing and implementing case strategies, delivering opening and closing arguments at trial, examining witnesses, and taking and defending depositions.
Ben graduated from Columbia Law School and Georgetown University. He is admitted to practice in California.
